daydreaming

Firstly I wanted to discuss my new favourite autumnal scent - Vanilla Pumpkin from The Body Shop. I initially bought the little hand cream in this new autumnal scent, and then I recently went into an Outlet store and saw a package of the Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter, Shower Gel as well as the Hand Cream. To my delight, the package saved me almost £10 worth of products, so I would definitely recommend checking out The Body Shop Outlet Stores! The actual scent itself is completely true to its name, very much a mix of sweet vanilla and hints of festive pumpkin - the perfect autumnal scent!

(Vanilla Pumpkin Shower Gel, 250ml, The Body Shop, £5)

(Vanilla Pumpkin 24 Hour Moisture Body Butter, 200ml, The Body Shop, £15)

(Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream, 30ml, The Body Shop, £5)

Another scent I have been enjoying recently is the new fragrance that came out recently from this years Zoella Beauty Christmas range - Snowella. This scent is so fresh with hints of peony, mint and pink pepper. The new range is absolutely stunning in terms of both packaging and the scent itself throughout! Obviously this is a Christmas scent, but I have been testing it for the last couple of weeks since it was released! (Expect a full Zoella Beauty Snowella Christmas Range blog post!)

Bubble baths have been a recurring thing for me recently, gone are my daily 20 minute showers, and I’ve been having a few baths a week (alongside showers) as the weather has gotten colder. I have been thoroughly enjoying using some more warmer products including the Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar bubble bath, followed by my Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter.

I also recently tried the new Lush bath bomb - Rocket Science, which smelt absolutely amazing, and resulted in extremely blue water with colourful little stars.

(Apple Pumpkin Candle, Walmart, $1 & White Linen and Lace Candle, Yankee Candle, £6, Tesco)

Candles are an absolute must-have for my Autumn nights. When in America last November, I picked up a little Apple Pumpkin candle from a supermarket, and I have recently started burning my Yankee Candle to fill my room with a warm and fresh smell because there is nothing better than a cosy room of a cold night. To my absolute dismay, my favourite Autumnal candle of all time, my Bath and Body Works 'Sweater Weather' candle has almost run out so I have a serious issue with burning it, therefore it just sits on my shelf to be regularly smelt. I cannot even explain how nice it smells, and how heartbroken I am that there are no Bath and Body Works stores in the UK. Like my friend and I are seriously considering flying to America simply for the BABW. Trust me, if you've ever been to one of their stores, I'm sure you understand my deep pain at the lack of candles, hand soaps, fragrance mists, etc. that we're missing out on.

(Spooktacular Gentle Foaming Hand Soap, $6.50, Bath and Body Works)

However, despite the lack of Bath and Body Works in my country, a very very lovely and generous soul  (a mutual on Instagram - @littleshannonsheep) really kindly sent me 8 B&BW hand soaps, and some other BABW goodies! I couldn't believe it when we were talking about our love for the brand and then she offered to send some of her stash to me! This hand soap in particular is one I've been loving so much recently, it may be slightly too early being a Halloween-themed one, but its almost October so... I absolutely adore the BABW gentle foaming hand soaps, as they're so soft on your skin, and product amazing smelling foam! This particular scent - Spooktacular, is very similar to my ultimate favourite Lush scent - Twilight - "a thrilling blend of chilly midnight air, dark lavender and ghostly black pepper. The ultimate Autumnal hand soap. Yes I am a totally lame 18 year old who gets excited about seasonally-scented hand soaps.
Yesterday I went to a really cute Paint-Your-Own-Pottery/Ceramics place where I painted a super adorable little bowl, and drank yummy hot chocolates. I have already started drinking hot beverages at home too, as I recently purchased a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine which means quick and cheap but delicious hot chocolates and coffees! It also has a feature for Iced Tea in Summer, but that is so irrelevant right now, IM HERE FOR AUTUMN.

So this is the start of my Autumnal-themed blog posts, expect more pumpkin, some more Autumnal essentials, and other items which add to a general cosy atmosphere! Let me know if you want any particular Autumn blog posts!!! Tweet me, DM me or leave a comment below!

As Autumn is now well and truly here, I wanted to make my bedroom a little seasonal, with adding a few little touches to my room for those cosy, dark nights! So I hope this can inspire some of you to decorate your room a little for the season to make you feel super cosy!

I really like switching an element of my wall decor, such as a canvas or photo frame for this time of year, and I find this deer canvas perfect for my room and the season! Wall art is perfect all year round and finding something seasonal will instantly make a room more festive! The white lace paper bunting above the canvas was from PaperChase looks super cute all year round and really fits with my room. I'm not entirely sure where I got the deer canvas from, but I'm sure similar ones are available!

I'm terrible at making my bed look pretty, but this time of year (and copious amounts of Instagram, Tumblr and We Heart It inspiration) motivates me to make my bed cosy and pretty! I only used two cushions as I have other cushion but they don't fit with my autumnal aesthetic. Wow that sounds ridiculous, but I hope you understand what I mean. The white fluffy heart cushion was only £3 was Primark, and it also comes in pink!

•Random and dainty decor

So I really like the look of wood in the autumn, and this light brown wicker heart gives the same kind of look. I love the look of both the wicker heart and the heart made up of tiny bells, it gives hints of Christmas which I simply love!

•Fairy lights

All year round I have a canvas of Audrey Hepburn with simple fairy lights around the edge, both items I picked up from Ikea, however fairy lights are pretty much sold in most places! I really love the look of cream/beige for all seasons but the fairy lights make my room so much cosier in the autumn evenings! My autumn evenings are essentially snuggling up in bed in multiple layers, watching YouTube videos and going on social media, whilst possibly sipping a hot chocolate. Could I get anymore chilled? Did I mention this routine usually follows a Lush bath?

•Autumnal Scents

So it's no secret that I love Bath and Body Works fragrances, and unfortunately being from England, I don't tend to have many of the products available as they don't ship to the UK. When I was in America a couple of years ago, I picked up two quite autumnal scents "Moonlight Path" and "Warm Vanilla Sugar" that I saved for the upcoming months. These scents are honestly amazing and I've had quite a few compliments about them both recently. And yes, you may wonder why I am mentioning them in my "Autumn Room Touches", but I am one of those people that uses Body Mists/Perfumes to spray around my room despite their true intention.

(Bath and Body Works Body Mists, $14 each)

•Cosiness

I like to put my slipper boots and dressing gown at the end of the bed to easily grab and get cosy! Both my dressing gown and slipper boots were Christmas presents which I believe are the Me To You collection from Marks & Spencer. Grey is one of my favourite colours, which sounds kind of strange but it's definitely a colour that I love in terms of clothing and interior. (I really love the colour's pink and grey together. I'm totally going off on a tangent here.

So I hope you enjoyed getting a little insight into my bedroom for the upcoming months of Autumn/Winter!

Hot chocolates are an absolute essential to my autumn mornings and evenings. Or afternoons. Just when I feel cold, hot chocolates are perfect for those cold days, I love just sitting in coffee shops, doing work or simply sitting with someone chatting. Last year I used peppermint syrup/oil to make DIY candle cane treats (I featured them in a super old blogpost), and I had tried the Peppermint Hot Chocolate from Starbucks; so I was super inspired one day to just add some of the peppermint I had left over from the treats to my hot chocolate! I'm a fan of the classic Cadburys hot chocolate, and I got the peppermint essence from my local supermarket - Sainsbury's.

•Fairy lights

Fairy lights are essentially the perfect aesthetic for a cosy autumn evening. I love being in my room and snuggling up in bed in the cold evenings. It's been getting both colder and darker so I like to close my curtains, get my pyjamas on after a bath and getting into bed. (Can we talk about that fresh bed sheet feeling? Because yes please.) These fairy lights are just from Ikea, and they have a wide and super affordable range!

•Baths

I'm sure it's not a secret from my blog posts and Instagram feed (links below - getting that cheeky self promo) that I'm a Lush fanatic! And it's absolutely vital for me to use Lush products with the majority of my baths. This month, during half term, I'm planning on purchasing 5 different Halloween themed products and testing them all out in that week. On Saturday 29th, I'll upload a blog post on my thoughts on the products! So I've had to hold off from buying and using any of the Halloween Lush products which have been launched in stores recently (as well as the Christmas products - much excitement!). Instead, I've been sticking to my absolute favourite bath bombs/bubble bars... the Twilight Bath Bomb - which is a super nice smelling pink bath bomb which creates the prettiest blue, pink, and purple water - £3.75, the Cherry Blossom Bubble Bar - an Oxford Street London Exclusive - a deliciously musky and sweet smelling reusable bubble bar - £5.95 and the Intergalactic Bath Bomb - full of insane colours which leaves a beautiful glittery water, £4.25.

•Candles

Recently I've been lighting a candle whenever I'm in room for both the Yankee Candle - Candy Cane Lane scent and the light it creates. I absolutely love candles and I feel like they help create the autumnal cosy atmosphere I love in the evenings or on a chilly morning.

(The photo just shows my floral Glade candle for example as my Yankee Candle is a candle melt for my candle holder - I got my Yankee Candle Candy Cane Lane Candle Melt for £1.25)

•Snoods

Snoods are such a perfect accessory to my autumn outfits, I find they really keep in the heat and make me super cosy! I love this one from H&M, and I find that cream goes with loads of different outfits so it's perfect! (H&M, £7.99 - a few years ago)

•Oversized cardigans/jumpers

Oversized cardigans and sweaters are perfect for any autumn outfit to keep you super snugly! I love being cosy and warm but I really love this super soft and thick cardigan from Forever 21 because it hangs nicely and still looks cute with an outfit! I love wearing it with both jeans and boots, or skirts or dresses, it's so versatile! And grey is definitely a signature colour in my wardrobe!

•Lipbalm

Lip balm is an essential for everyday all year round but autumn is a time when the air is colder and your lips need that little extra moisturising! I like using EOS lip balm in the 'flavour' Strawberry, this is clear on the lips but so hydrating or Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me; however this leaves a bright pink/red shade that really doesn't suit me, so I use this at night before bed.

•Zoella Beauty Christmas Collection

With the most festive scent of gingerbread, the new Zoella Beauty Christmas Range for 2016 features the most delicious-scented products including a shower gel, a body cream, a fragrance, bath fizzers, bubble bath and more. Ranging from the £5.50 "Hungry Hands" hand cream to a set of 4 fragrances from Zoella Beauty for £16, the collection is relatively inexpensive and perfect for Christmas gifts. The scent, however, is not only for Christmas, but in general is ideal for Autumn, with a warm smell of home-baked gingerbread and elements of vanilla, the collection is an essential for now! This fragrance is an essential!

So they were my Autumn Essentials! I hope you enjoyed and maybe got some inspirational to try out and maybe find some of these products yourself! Let me know in the comments below if you'd like me to write any blogposts in particular and I'll be sure to think about any ideas!
